Nasir Ahmad Andisha, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Switzerland, said on International Women’s Day that women and girls in Afghanistan are facing some of the most severe social, economic, and political restrictions in the world.
Anisha wrote on his X platform on Saturday night, 7 March, that the Taliban have banned women’s education, work, and their economic and political participation, turning Afghanistan into the world’s largest prison for women.
Afghanistan’s ambassador to Switzerland emphasized that despite these restrictions, the women’s movement has remained resilient and continues to operate on the front lines of national resistance against oppression and injustice.
He also congratulated all brave women around the world on International Women’s Day.
