UBS hikes bonuses 10% as top staff payouts hit $1.4m

The Swiss bank has increased variable pay after improved performance, but it has also spent $942m on severance payments to more than 7,500 staff

UBS hiked bonuses by 10% last year after a bumper year for the Swiss bank, but payouts for its senior bankers remained relatively flat.

The Swiss bank’s bonus pool jumped 10% to $5.1bn in 2025, according to newly-released numbers, which it said was down to improved performance.
