With a surge of new venues and a relentless calendar of openings, navigating Hong Kong’s 2026 art week requires strategy. Here is our carefully curated shortlist.
Art Basel Hong Kong remains the anchor of the season, with 240 exhibitors taking part. This year, two sectors have been added: “Echoes”, showing works made in the last five years, and “Zero 10”, dedicated to digital art. Three influential Hong Kong-born women – curators Isabella Tam and Venus Lau, and artist Ellen Pau – are guest curators.
This year’s Art Central, with more than 100 galleries, is curated by Enoch Cheng and Zoie Yung. Its “Central Stage” section features artists such as Iranian-American artist Elnaz Javani.
