NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) – Police have charged a woman with arson after a fire broke out at a New Bern apartment complex.
Police say that Kiandra Lunan, 31, has been charged with first-degree arson.
New Bern Fire-Rescue and police officers went to a fire at the D2 building of Craven Terrace around 10:16 this morning. Crews found smoke coming from the first and second floors of the apartment and started evacuating residents.
Police say that Lunan intentionally started the fire.
She’s being held without bond in the Craven County Jail.
Her first appearance is scheduled for tomorrow.
