The ring bearing a sapphire will take center stage at an upcoming jewelry auction at Phillips in Geneva, where it is expected to fetch up to CHF 480,000 ($600,000).
The piece centers a 19.93-carat Burmese sapphire and will lead the May 11 Geneva Jewels Auction: VI auction, Phillips said Wednesday.
The sale will feature historic jewels and objects from The Vanderbilt family, the kings of Bavaria and European Noble Houses alongside other pieces from famous design houses including Graff, Boucheron and Cartier.
