Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Ms. Geneva Stepp, age 89, of Hoschton, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday April 15, 2026. Ms. Stepp was born in Hoschton, Georgia the daughter of the late J. N. and Smantha Hogan Stepp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Herman , Ralph, William, and Odis “Pete” Stepp and two sisters, Virginia Cronic and Lorene Staton. Ms. Stepp retired from the Jefferson Mills and was a member of White Plains Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Jeanette Ledford of Talmo, GA. Five nieces, Starr Gaines, Tammy Norris, Libby Nelson, Tootsie Fulton (Larry) and Frances Staton. One nephew, Tom Cronic of Hoschton and numerous cousins and other family members.
Funeral services will be held 5:30 P.M. Friday, April 17, 2026 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Carey Pittman officiating with burial to follow in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are, Riley Gaines, Larry Fulton, Matthew Norris, Mark Rosenthal, Tom Cronic and Tray Gooch. The family will receive friends Friday, April 17, 2026 from 3:30 P.M. – 5:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
