SWISS received multiple honours at this year’s World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo in Hamburg. The Swiss airline was presented with a total of four awards at the renowned Onboard Hospitality Awards 2026 and the PAX Readership Awards 2026.
At the Onboard Hospitality Awards, Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) received the most prestigious accolade in the category “Cabin Concept of the Year 2026.”
The new long-haul experience SWISS Senses impressed the international jury in direct comparison with global competitors. Over the past year, SWISS has introduced new service concepts and products across all long-haul flights and all travel classes regardless of aircraft type. The centrepiece is the state-of-the-art cabin interior of the new Airbus A350, setting new benchmarks in comfort, design and personal well-being.
Heike Birlenbach, Chief Customer Officer at SWISS, said: “SWISS Senses is the largest product investment in our company’s history. We are therefore all the more delighted to receive this award. It confirms that our enhanced guest experience is very well received by our customers.”
Award for the best cocktail above the clouds
SWISS also received an Onboard Hospitality Award in the category “Best Onboard Beverage – Alcoholic” for its signature cocktail “Alpine Essence.” The alpine-inspired cocktail was developed in collaboration with award-winning bartender Sarah Madritsch and Zurich-based IGNIV Bar by Andreas Caminada. It is served on long-haul flights in First and Business Class, as well as on short-haul flights in Business Class and as part of the SWISS Saveurs offering.
