In February, the number of local passengers was 1,538,209. Transfer passengers amounted to 29.8%, equal to 653,496 passengers.
Year on year, air traffic movements increased by 3.8% to 18,784 takeoffs and landings. The average number of passengers per movement increased to 132.4 (+4.4% vs. previous year). The average seat load factor was at 77.0% (+1.8 percentage points vs. previous year).
A total of 35,494 tons of freight were transported at Zurich Airport during the month of February. This led to an increase of 1.9% in freight volume compared to last year.
