NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) – A task force has arrested two men on several drug charges following an investigation in New Bern.
Thursday, the Neuse River Narcotics Task Force searched a home on West A Street.
Deputies say they seized 1.3 ounces of methamphetamine, a small amount of cocaine, and 9 pounds of marijuana.
36-year-old Sonny Morris Jr., identified as the resident, faces the following charges:
Felony trafficking methamphetamine(2) Felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a Schedule II controlled substance(2) Felony possession of a Schedule-II controlled substanceFelony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a Schedule-VI controlled substanceFelony possession of a Schedule-VI controlled substanceFelony maintaining a dwelling for the sale of a controlled substance
19-year-old Sanarrious Morris faces the following charges:
Felony trafficking methamphetamineFelony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a Schedule II controlled substanceFelony possession of a Schedule-II controlled substanceFelony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a Schedule-VI controlled substanceFelony possession of a Schedule-VI controlled substanceFelony maintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substanceFelony maintaining a dwelling for the sale of a controlled substanceSimple possession of a Schedule-II controlled substanceSimple possession of a Schedule-VI controlled substancePossession of drug paraphernalia
Both were taken to the Craven County Jail. Sonny received a $175,000 secured bond, while Sanarrious was given no bond due to prior charges.
