Ghanaian attacker Daniel Afriyie rounded off a dominant Aarau performance with a late goal in a 3–0 home victory over FC Stade Lausanne-Ouchy in the Swiss Challenge League.

Coming on to stretch a tiring back line, Afriyie struck in the 87th minute to make it three, clinically finishing after smart build-up play to send Stadion Brügglifeld into full celebration.

Aarau had to stay patient after a goalless first half but finally broke the deadlock just two minutes after the restart, when Elias Filet made it 1–0 on 47 minutes. Shkelqim Vladi then doubled the advantage in the 69th minute, putting the hosts firmly in control against an Ouchy side that struggled to create clear chances. Afriyie’s late third was a deserved reward for Aarau’s attacking intent, with the hosts finishing the night ahead on shots, efforts on target and big chances created.

Afriyie’s strike continues an impressive 2025/26 league campaign in which he has registered 30 Challenge League appearances, scoring 11 goals and 6 assists. Aarau now turn their attention to a tricky away trip to Wil on Saturday as they push on in the promotion race.
