Severe storms delay tee times in the third round of the Zurich Classic

AVONDALE, La. (WGNO) — Due to severe storms lingering in the area, the starting tee times for the third round of the Zurich Classic have been delayed until 10:13 a.m., PGA Tour Communications officials announced Saturday.

With the wet, slippery conditions, PGA Tour officials said preferred lies will be in effect for the third round.

Lingering showers for Saturday afternoon & evening

The preferred lies will enable golfers to improve their ball position when the course is wet or muddy.
