A Chubb Ltd. unit sued the Marianist Province of the US, seeking to limit insurance coverage for sexual abuse litigation against the Catholic organization.

Policies issued by Chubb’s Federal Insurance Co. in the 1970s only covered accidental injuries, not intentional acts, and any coverage would be limited to a single occurrence, the insurer said in a complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
