GENEVA, N.Y. (WROC) — A Geneva man has been arrested and is facing charges for alleged rape and sexual abuse of a child.
The accused man, 32-year-old Rafael Arroyo-Ubiles, was taken into custody by Geneva Police detectives on April 30 at around 7:00 p.m. The arrest comes after two search warrants at the man’s apartment in Seneca Falls.
Investigators said they found a concealed cellphone belonging to Arroyo-Ubiles, which had many images and videos of the man engaging in sexual contact with someone under the age of 11.
Arroyo-Ubiles was arrested, processed at the Geneva Police Department, and taken to Ontario County Jail for arraignment. He faces charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, and the use of a child in a sexual performance. Police say additional charges are pending.
