GENEVA — A city man is accused of having sex with a child younger than 11 and recording it on his phone, city police said Friday.
Rafael Arroyo-Ubiles, 32, was charged April 30 with first-degree rape, a class B felony; first-degree sexual abuse, a class D felony; and use of a child in a sexual performance, a class C felony.
Police said the arrest follows the execution of two search warrants at Arroyo-Ubiles’ residence at Courtyard Apartments, along with an apartment in Seneca Falls.
“Detectives located a concealed cellular phone belonging to the defendant with numerous images and videos of the defendant engaging in sexual contact with another person who is less than 11 years old,” police said.
Arroyo-Ubiles was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment. Additional charges are pending, police said.
The Ontario, Seneca, and Wayne County sheriff’s offices and Seneca Falls police assisted with the execution of the search warrants.
