Concerns are growing over aviation fuel supplies this summer, as rising tensions in the Middle East push kerosene prices sharply higher.
Despite the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, Geneva Airport says it has not experienced any supply issues so far. Fuel distributors also remain cautiously confident, though they warn the situation could change.
Globally, airlines have already reduced capacity, with around two million seats cut from schedules in May alone. Higher prices have also dampened demand, helping to ease immediate pressure on supply.
