GENEVA, Ohio (WOIO) – The Geneva Police Department located an endangered missing person Saturday with help from other departments and the community.
Police were first alerted about the endangered missing person through a walk-in complaint received Friday at 7 p.m.
The complainant showed police screenshots of text messages and photos of a severely injured woman.

Following the complaint, police opened a missing-person case and issued a be-on-the-lookout notification for the missing individual, including the person’s car.
While an investigation was underway, police said multiple community members called the department.
Police received assistance from Geneva dispatch and other agencies, including the Ashtabula Police Department.
Ashtabula police found the missing person at 12:27 p.m. Saturday.
Police found the woman safe and in good condition.
Geneva Police Sgt. Shaun Gonzalez said the investigation into the missing person and the text messages remains active.
