WORKERS at Nestlé have secured an inflation-busting pay rise.
More than 1,200 staff across UK sites including Buxton, Carlisle, Halifax, Tutbury, and York, will receive a 3.9 per cent increase as part of a one-year deal secured by Unite.
The pay rise is 0.3 per cent above the current Retail Price Index (RPI) rate of inflation.
Sharon Graham, general secretary of Unite, said: “This deal was achieved because Nestle workers are in a strong union and benefit from collective bargaining.
“Unite does what it says on the trade union tin – achieving better jobs, pay and conditions for our members.”
The increase will be backdated to April 2026.
Pat Mcilvogue, national officer for food, drink and agriculture at Unite, said: “This deal is another example of why food, drink and agriculture workers looking for a better deal at work should join Unite and organise their colleagues to join too.”
