5. Highland Park 19-6 (5): Outfielder Paxton Feder makes a diving catch to preserve a Central Suburban League North win and then doubles and homers against Lincoln Park.

6. Vernon Hills 18-6-1 (6): Henry Olson pitches 5 2/3 innings of scoreless relief and also gets three hits in the Cougars’ 11-inning CSL North win over Niles West.

7. Warren 16-6 (7): Peyton Balanag and Braylan McCarthy each pitches a complete game in a sweep of Stevenson as the Blue Devils extend their winning streak to seven.

8. Wauconda 17-8 (8): Brothers Jackson Rudolph, who is hitting .457, and Brody Rudolph, who is hitting .430, fuel the Bulldogs’ high-powered offense.

9. Mundelein 14-8 (9): Peter Nanos goes 7-for-11 with seven RBIs and six runs scored as the Mustangs win three of four games.

10. Lake Zurich 13-10 (NR): Reid Pfeifer goes 6-for-13 with six RBIs and Cooper Kaczmarek goes 7-for-12 with five RBIs as the Bears win three of four games.

Lake Zurich junior outfielder Carson Hamblin goes 12-for-16 with two triples, two doubles, five walks, four RBIs and 12 runs scored in four games, raising his batting average to .477 and his on-base percentage to .626.
