Team Canada’s star-studded roster hits the ice for a second day in a row, this time facing off against Switzerland in preliminary round play at Milan Cortina 2026.

Fans of both countries are hoping the luck is in their favor on this Friday, Feb. 13, with puck drop set for 3:10 p.m. ET.

Canada started their journey for Olympic gold in the preliminary round with a comfortable 5-0 win over Czechia on Thursday. It didn’t take long for 19-year old Macklin Celebrini (SJS) to show up on the scoresheet, tallying Canada’s first goal in his Olympic debut. Connor McDavid led the way with 3 assists.

Goaltender Jordan Binnington (STL) made 26 saves for the shutout.

The Swiss opened Olympic play with a shutout of their own on Thursday, taking a dominant win over France 4-0. New Jersey Devils’ Timo Meier contributed of those two goals with veteran goaltender Leonardo Genoni stopping 27.

Any player who starts or participates in a fight is assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct.
