Oman will host talks between the United States and Iran in Geneva next week, Swiss Foreign Ministry spokesman Pierre Gobet told TASS, APA reports.
“The Swiss Foreign Ministry maintains contact with the parties and reiterates its readiness to support any diplomatic initiative aimed at de-escalating the conflict. In this context, the Foreign Ministry confirms that the Sultanate of Oman will host talks between the United States and Iran in Geneva next week,” Gobet noted. He emphasized that the confederation “welcomes and supports these talks.” He added that Switzerland is ready “at any time to offer its good offices to facilitate dialogue” between Washington and Tehran.
