GENEVA — This Ontario County municipality will be searching for a new city manager following some bombshell news Thursday.
City Manager Amie Hendrix will resign July 8 after serving in that capacity for four years. Hendrix and Mayor Jim Cecere announced her departure in an email sent to media outlets Thursday night.
Hendrix said she will relocate to Kittery, Maine, to pursue new professional and personal opportunities.
“I was presented with an opportunity that allows me to continue growing professionally while also doing what’s best for my family, and that made this an incredibly difficult decision,” Hendrix said in the news release. “After many conversations and a great deal of reflection, this opportunity aligned with both my personal and professional goals. In the end, it was an opportunity I simply could not pass up.”
