A New Bern Police investigation has resulted in criminal charges against 56 year old Elgin Britt of New Bern.
According to court records New Bern Police allege that Britt was in Felony Possession of Cocaine and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia.
Court documents also state that Britt is alleged to have had possession of Stolen 386 Semi-Automatic Rifle.
At the time of this incident Britt was already pending criminal charges from a March 2026 incident where he is alleged to have assaulted a New Bern Police Officer.
