Geneva, Ala. (WDNews) — Geneva City Schools is helping families this summer by providing free breakfast and lunch meal packages for children ages 1-18.
According to Geneva City Schools, each meal package will include enough breakfast and lunch items to cover four days. The program is available to children living in the household, regardless of whether they attend Geneva City Schools.
Meal package pickup dates are scheduled for June 11, June 17 and June 25. Distribution will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Families should park in the front parking lot of Mulkey and enter through the fourth-grade breezeway, following posted signs to the lunchroom.
School officials said parents of Geneva City Schools students should provide the student’s name at pickup. Families with children who do not attend Geneva City Schools will need to complete the required form and bring it with them.
The district noted that pickup is limited to one meal package per child per week, and meals are only available for children ages 1-18 living in the household.
Geneva City Schools said the summer meal program is designed to help ensure children continue receiving nutritious meals while school is out for the summer.
