The Hamlet
On a cobblestone lane in Geneva’s oh-so-quaint, cathedral-crowned old town, The Hamlet’s 20 serviced apartments are arranged around a dashing 18th-century townhouse. Bathed in light, each is a celebration of mid-century design: Eames chairs or freeform Noguchi tables here, a slender Jean Prouvé desk there. Those studios and duplexes located across the courtyard are quieter and a bit more glossily contemporary, with two-bedroom townhouse apartments the biggest at 90 to 111 square metres; some interconnect, should more space be needed. Laundry, grocery shopping, drivers and high-end gym memberships are available on request as extras. You’ll have access to The Square, a communal area with a library beside two co-working spaces, and to thrice-weekly Pilates and barre classes. Aspiring to recreate the easy feeling of borrowing a friend’s home, The Hamlet’s well-travelled founders will do so again when their second, more wellness-focused base opens on riverside Quai de la Poste sometime in 2027.
