NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) – Craven County students can get free breakfast and lunch this summer through a statewide meal program.
Craven County Schools says free meals will be available to all children and teens 18 and younger through the Sun Meals North Carolina program.
According to the district, meals will be served on-site from June 1 through August 14 at several schools across the county, with no registration or ID required.
Meals will be available at Havelock High School, Trent Park Elementary School, West Craven High School, New Bern High School, and Bridgeton Elementary School.
Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The district will also offer weekly grab-and-go meals on Thursdays through Aug. 13 at locations in Havelock, Vanceboro, Bridgeton, Dover, Cove City, and New Bern.
Those sites include Havelock High School, Harlowe Community Center, West Craven High School, Bower’s Park, The Oaks Apartments, Bailey Lane Apartments, Juniper Chapel, Bridgeton Elementary School, Cove City Library, Dover Town Hall, and New Bern High School.
