An Israeli drone carried out a strike in Jibsheet, in the Nabatieh district, according to our correspondent in southern Lebanon, Muntasser Abdallah.

Israeli attacks, part of the ongoing war against Hezbollah that began on March 2 and continues despite truces negotiated with Lebanese authorities, decreased in intensity overnight from Thursday to Friday, our correspondent reports.

Israeli artillery shelled Safad al-Battikh and Hanaway after midnight, while clashes were heard near Hujair (Marjayoun) and Majdal Zoun.

After 2 a.m., a powerful explosion caused by an Israeli airstrike targeted homes in the town of Khiam, with echoes heard in neighboring villages.

According to our correspondent’s count, Israeli fighter jets carried out 34 airstrikes Thursday, targeting 23 locations in southern Lebanon and causing significant damage to buildings, homes, shopping centers and infrastructure. Israeli drones struck 16 targets in 12 locations, while 16 locations were subjected to intense artillery bombardment.
