Allreal plans to redevelop its property at Hohlstrasse 600 in collaboration with the neighboring Bank Julius Bär and two other property owners. The Zurich City Council has approved the master plan for the site at Hohlstrasse 600–612, located directly next to the Zurich Altstetten train station.

The master plan was developed following a pilot planning phase in 2024. The project builds on the existing development and creates a cluster of high-rise buildings intended to form a cohesive and architecturally compelling whole. A private design plan is required for the planned expansion. The project team will develop this plan based on the master plan; it is expected to be made available for public review in 2027 and subsequently submitted to the Zurich City Council for a vote. «A decision on the possible implementation and design of a construction project will not be made until this phase is complete,» Allreal states in a press release.

Herzog & de Meuron involved

According to Julius Bär, plans include expanding capacity at the site and creating a modern work environment that supports flexible and collaborative work styles. This will be complemented by outdoor areas, shared spaces, and auditoriums. Julius Bär owns the properties at Hohlstrasse 602, 604, 606, and 608. The bank is a tenant in adjacent properties. According to Julius Bär, the master plan was developed by the architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron..
