LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Geneva, Superior and Sutton surpassed their goals in the 10/11 Can Care-a-Van on Monday. In Superior, Brodstone Healthcare donated almost $6,700. The Bread Box, in Sutton gave an award to Tom and Sandy Hoffman who donated 163 dozen eggs and shared their garden produce.
Below are results from Monday’s Can Care-a-Van.
Geneva
Goal: 2,000 lbs. of foodDonated: 3,598 lbs.The food from this stop benefits the Blue Valley Community Action of Fillmore County.
Superior
Goal: 6,000 lbs. of foodDonated: 28,961 lbs.The food from this stop benefits the Nuckolls County Food Pantry.
Sutton
Goal: 6,000 lbs. of foodDonated: 10,301 lbs.The food from this stop benefits The Bread Box.
The Can Care-a-Van will be in Ainsworth, Aurora, Neligh and Tecumseh on Tuesday.
