The Ukrainian junior national team defenseman Savely Sukhitsky will play for the Italian club Cortina in the Alpine Hockey League in the 2026/2027 season.
According to the Ukrainian Hockey Federation’s press service, the club competes in the Alpine Hockey League.
Last season, Savely played for the Italian second-division club Aosta: 27 games, 5 goals and 12 assists.
Cortina reached the playoff quarterfinals in the 2025/2026 season.
The 18-year-old Sukhitsky is a product of Kyiv’s Sokil; he captains the U18 national team and plays for Ukraine’s U20 national team, and is a silver medalist at the World Championship (Division 1A) with the junior national team.
The move to Cortina opens a new chapter in his career in the Alpine Hockey League. This step highlights the growing presence of Ukrainian young players in European leagues and opens Savely’s new opportunities for development on the professional stage.
