GENEVA — Police apprehended a suspect in a Canandaigua shooting following a pursuit that led to Geneva Wednesday afternoon, Ontario County Undersheriff Mike Rago said.
Police in Canandaigua were searching for a suspect car following a shooting on Center Street, and the pursuit ultimately led to Geneva, where the suspect’s car collided with another vehicle on Milton Street, near Main Street, and in the neighborhood of Byrne Dairy.
The incident drew a massive law enforcement response to the scene.
Rago said the suspect has been taken into custody.
“The City of Canandaigua Police Department is currently investigating the incident and am sure will update the media once more is known,” he said.
