Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin invites guests to step into a nostalgic celebration of America with the debut of its adults-only Tavern 1776, a limited-time summer pop-up tavern honoring America’s 250th birthday through festive dining, craft cocktails and classic summer fun.
Running from June 26 through Aug. 2, Tavern 1776 offers timeless Americana charm with a playful nod to the nation’s early years, featuring patriotic décor, nostalgic flavors and festive experiences designed to capture the spirit of a classic American summer.
Lit by lantern light and lined with historic flags, weathered wood and portraits of the founding fathers, Tavern 1776 invites guests to gather, raise a glass and celebrate America’s 250th birthday in true revolutionary fashion.
The pop-up features old-timey, backyard-inspired bites like Cornbread & Drippings (cast iron, honey butter, sea salt) and The Provision (short rib sliders with caramelized onion and aged cheddar), as well as celebratory drinks such as “Taxation without Representation” (spiced rum, passion fruit, and citrus) and live entertainment, offering guests a new way to celebrate the summer season in Lake Geneva.
Beyond Tavern 1776, Grand Geneva’s summer lineup is filled with the simple pleasures perfect for long Midwest summer weekends. The resort’s Sunday night fireworks take place now through Labor Day Weekend, lighting up the night sky each week as part of its popular “Start Your Week with a Bang” tradition and hotel package.
New and returning experiences throughout the season also include Grand Geneva’s Sunday pool parties, Glow Golf, the resort’s family-friendly illuminated nighttime golf experience held on Sundays, as well as the debut of Wee Nip, Grand Geneva’s new short-course golf experience designed for players of all ages and skill levels.
