The four companies forming the foundation of this project are: Efteor, a niche supplier to the ultra-luxury sector, specialising in watch cases and clasps made of precious metals and produced in limited series; Le Composant, part of the same group as Efteor and specialising in oscillating weights and bracelets made of precious metals for high-end and ultra-luxury brands; Télôs Watch, a workshop dedicated to the development of movements and complications; and Henri Robert, a micromechanics company specialising in the manufacture of high-precision cutting tools used in the machining of watch components.

Umberto Macchi di Cellere, former general manager of Bulgari Watches, former head of sales for the Bulgari Group, and former CEO of the Tod’s Group- who spearheaded the initiative alongside Vam Investments- will lead the new company, based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

“The fine watchmaking market demands components of the highest quality and precision. In this context, Groupe Chaumont aims to be an industrial partner capable of bringing together, under a single Swiss banner, the finest expertise- from cases to movements, from cutting tools to the development of complications. Our goal is to create an industrial group in which companies of excellence- deeply rooted in the Swiss Made tradition and led by talented entrepreneurs- share their experience, expertise, and resources. “Together, we will build the leading platform dedicated to components for fine watchmaking,” said CEO Umberto Macchi di Cellere.

The entrepreneurs of the four companies involved will reinvest in Groupe Chaumont’s capital, becoming shareholders while continuing to lead their respective companies: “We are proud to be the first founding companies of this initiative. We firmly believe in the project and in the power of collaboration: the ability to pool our expertise and experience, while continuing to guarantee our customers the highest levels of quality, reliability, and innovation, represents an extraordinary opportunity for growth. We look forward to welcoming new partners to Groupe Chaumont to further expand the range of products and services we offer,” they commented.
