Zürich Tourism is shining a spotlight on the city and region as a leading destination where cutting-edge innovation meets authentic Swiss hospitality, unveiling new experiences and industry touchpoints for the global meetings and incentives market. From the pioneering Zurich AI Festival and atmospheric winter fondue evenings to inspiring offsites in nearby Zug and the newly announced Zürich MICE Days 2026, planners are being offered a diverse toolkit to create distinctive events in and around the city.
At the heart of Zurich’s innovation story is the Zurich AI Festival, a week-long, multi-venue initiative that brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, corporates, creatives, and citizens to explore the impact of artificial intelligence across business and society. Co-created by the ETH AI Center, Greater Zurich Area and Zurich Tourism, the festival’s decentralised format connects universities, startups, global tech players and cultural institutions, making Zurich’s AI ecosystem tangible for delegates and underlining the city’s credentials as a host for tech and knowledge-focused events.
Complementing this innovation narrative, Zürich Tourism is promoting atmospheric winter programmes designed to bring teams closer together over quintessentially Swiss culinary traditions. From pop-up fondue chalets and rustic eateries to refined city-centre restaurants, Zurich offers a wide range of raclette and fondue venues that are ideal for group dinners, incentive evenings and informal networking after a day of meetings.
Just 20 minutes from Zurich, the lakeside town of Zug is being positioned as an attractive extension for planners seeking inspiring offsite and retreat settings. With modern venues, easy access, and a historic old town framed by mountains and lake, Zug combines professional infrastructure with scenic backdrops and is particularly suited to executive meetings, strategy workshops and team retreats capped by sunset moments on Lake Zug.
Looking ahead, Zürich Tourism has opened registration for Zürich MICE Days 2026, the city’s flagship gathering for the meetings and events community. Taking place on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 8.30am to 2.00pm, the event will feature one-to-one business meetings, insight sessions, a networking lunch and optional afternoon tours that showcase Zurich in winter, offering planners and suppliers a compact yet content-rich platform to exchange ideas and explore new collaborations.
The Zurich Convention Bureau is available to support planners with neutral, expert advice on venues, programmes and local partners, ensuring that events in Zurich and the surrounding region are both impactful and seamlessly delivered. With its blend of innovation leadership, authentic experiences and short distances, the city aims to help organisers design events that foster stronger teams, spark new ideas and leave a lasting impression on delegates.
