For the fourth straight World Cup, Switzerland has advanced to the knockout stage.

The Swiss men’s national soccer team will take on Algeria in the round of 32 on July 2, looking to make it five straight World Cups advancing as far as the round of 16. Switzerland won Group B at this year’s tournament with a 2-1 win over Canada in their final group stage match, marking the first time the team has won a group at the World Cup since 2006.

Algeria qualified for the round of 32 as one of the eight best third-place teams after a win over Jordan and a draw with Austria. Their performance in the group stage earned them their second knockout stage appearance ever, with 2014’s round of 16 qualification marking the farthest the Algerian men’s national team has ever progressed at a World Cup.

Switzerland has never made it farther than the quarterfinals in its previous 12 World Cup outings, and the last time the Swiss made it that far was on home soil in 1954.
