New Bern Police have arrested a third suspect involved in the murder of Lamark Simmons that occurred on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 1:31 a.m. Deion-te Becton, 26 years old, was arrested today at 10:00 a.m. and has been charged with:
• Open Count of Murder
Becton is being held at the Craven County Jail without bond. His first appearance is currently set for March 17, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Yashua Dyer’s first appearance was March 9, and DeQuante Berry’s first appearance was March 10.
New Bern Police had previously charged DeQuante Berry 26, with Murder and Yashua Dyer with Accessory After the Fact in connection to the case.
