After months of speculation, Rampa and Thomas Bangalter have officially unveiled their collaborative project, ‘Warehouse Artefacts,’ set to take over Art Basel this summer. Notably, the concept goes far beyond a traditional performance, as the artists introduce a fully immersive experience alongside Julian Charrière, merging sound, visual art, and storytelling into one unified vision.
Taking place on June 20, 2026 at Messe Basel, the event will run from 18:00 to 23:00, and will feature a 5-hour DJ set from Rampa, alongside a yet-to-be-announced special guest. Meanwhile, the project arrives under the curation of art.klub, with production led by Nordstern Basel in collaboration with Art Basel and Fondation Beyeler, further reinforcing its artistic positioning within one of the world’s most influential cultural platforms.
Importantly, ‘Warehouse Artefacts’ continues Thomas Bangalter’s evolving creative direction following his recent live appearances, including his widely discussed moment alongside Fred again… As a result, speculation already builds around whether Bangalter could make a surprise appearance behind the decks during the show, marking a rare DJ return for the legendary figure.
At the same time, the immersive aspect of the project hints at a deeper narrative-driven experience, aligning with the growing intersection between electronic music and contemporary art. Therefore, rather than a standard club setting, attendees can expect a carefully curated environment where music, installation, and performance coexist.
Ultimately, with Rampa at the forefront and Bangalter shaping the conceptual layer, ‘Warehouse Artefacts’ positions itself as one of the most intriguing cross-disciplinary showcases of the year.
