Kanye West has lost another international booking, after FC Basel have chosen not to move forward with a planned concert in Switzerland.

The Swiss football club, which hosts large-scale events at St. Jakob-Park, confirmed to Reuters that it declined to support the show following internal discussions. In a statement, a club representative said the decision was made after careful consideration and concluded that hosting the artist would not align with the organization’s principles.

“FCB received an enquiry and considered it,” the spokesperson said. “However, after thorough review, we have decided not to proceed with the project, as we cannot, in accordance with our values, provide a platform for the artist in question within this context.”

The concert was reportedly expected to take place in June, but the cancellation makes Basel the latest European stop to fall through as Ye continues to face resistance overseas.

In recent weeks, multiple appearances tied to the rapper-producer have fallen through. A show in Poland was scrapped shortly after officials cited legal concerns, while a planned performance in France was postponed amid political backlash. In the U.K., Ye was denied entry altogether, leading to the cancellation of a major festival appearance at Wireless.

The pushback has largely stemmed from controversy surrounding Kanye West’s past public statements, including antisemitic remarks that have drawn widespread criticism from government officials and cultural figures across Europe.

Despite the setbacks, Ye has continued to perform elsewhere, including a pair of sold-out shows in Los Angeles earlier this month. He has also issued apologies in recent months, attributing some of his past behavior to personal struggles and stating an intention to move forward.

Still, the growing number of cancellations signals ongoing challenges for the artist’s international plans, particularly in regions where his past comments have sparked heightened scrutiny.
