On the evening of February 14, the President of Ukraine held a telephone conversation with representatives of the United States: the president’s special envoy Steve Vitkoff and Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. The meeting took place amid preparations for trilateral talks scheduled for next week in Geneva.
Negotiations and Expectations
Zelensky expressed hope that the meetings will indeed be productive.

The president expressed gratitude to the American leadership for maintaining a constructive approach and willingness to help protect people’s lives.
Earlier Zelensky met in Munich with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to the Office of the President, the new round of talks between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States is planned for February 17–18 in Geneva.
It is expected that further discussions will help determine common approaches to de-escalation and stabilization of the situation in the region.
