Hall wins GOP nomination for Geneva County Sheriff, could face Independent candidate in General Election

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — David Hall is the projected winner for the GOP nomination in the Geneva County Sheriff’s Race.

Hall ended the night with 84% of the vote. His opponent, Tim Forehand, received 15% of the vote.

The race for Geneva County Sheriff could have been decided Tuesday night in the Primary Election, but Geneva County Probate Judge Toby Seay says a man named Perez Bruner declared his intent to run as an Independent in the race and submitted over 400 signatures on Tuesday to enter the race.

The deadline to submit the signatures was 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Judge Seay says the Board of Registrars will vet the signatures this week and determine if Perez qualifies to run as an independent in the General Election.
