The UK saw an average of 118 new dollar millionaires per day, while France added 95 daily. At prevailing exchange rates, $1 million equals roughly EUR875,000.

In percentage terms, Eastern European nations experienced the swiftest gains. The top five spots in the global 30 were all European, covering EU members, EU candidate countries, EFTA states, and the UK. Lithuania led with an 8% rise, adding 921 dollar millionaires in 2025. Turkey came second at 6.4%, with 5,650 new millionaires. Latvia posted 5.7% growth, gaining 1,131 millionaires. Hungary increased by 5.3%, adding 1,349 new millionaires. Ireland placed fifth at 5.2%, yet added far more individuals—9,491—than the nations ahead of it. Poland recorded 4% growth, and Greece 3.5%.

The report notes that the millionaire increase partly hinges on how near the $1 million mark these individuals were the prior year. Dollar millionaire counts also rose 3.1% in Spain, 2.4% in Italy, 1.8% in the UK, 1.5% in France, 1% in Switzerland, and 0.9% in Germany. However, absolute figures offer a clearer view for these countries, given their already large millionaire bases, which yield lower percentage growth.

The US posted the biggest absolute gain, adding 441,078 millionaires—nearly half the global total. In Europe, the UK added over 43,000 new dollar millionaires last year, while France and Spain each surpassed 32,000. Italy and Germany also made the global top 10, each adding over 24,000 new millionaires. Unsurprisingly, Europe’s five largest economies all appeared in the global top 10. All other European nations added fewer than 10,000 new millionaires. Japan (31,428), India (31,033), Australia (25,089), and Russia (21,951) also ranked in the global top 10.

Converted to daily rates, the figures become more striking. In 2025, the US averaged 1,208 new millionaires daily, or 47 per hour. Among European countries, the UK added 118 per day, or 4.5 per hour. France saw 95 daily, Spain 90, Italy 67, and Germany 66.

The report stated that more people are ascending the wealth ladder, with stronger top-tier ranks and steady growth across a notably broad range of markets. No nation in the UBS sample of 56 markets ended 2025 with fewer millionaires than at the start.

Over 40% of the world’s dollar millionaires reside in the US, totaling more than 23.6 million out of roughly 57.5 million in the UBS sample. Western Europe hosts just under 15 million dollar millionaires, or 25% of the total. The report notes that a market’s millionaire count does not always reflect its size, economic strength, or average wealth per person. Much depends on factors beyond economic power, including home ownership, private retirement savings, and tax incentives for saving and investing. UBS defines net worth, or wealth, as the value of financial and real assets (mainly housing) owned by private individuals, minus their debts.

Jul 10, 2026 A UBS report reveals that close to one million people globally attained US dollar millionaire…

[129
49919,49924,49923,942,49925,49920,49927,49926,223,12341,49922,49921,47311
post-101094","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-ubs","tag-dollar-millionaires-2025","tag-eastern-europe-millionaires","tag-france-millionaires","tag-global-wealth","tag-lithuania-millionaires","tag-millionaire-growth","tag-millionaire-statistics","tag-turkey-millionaires","tag-ubs","tag-ubs-report","tag-uk-millionaires","tag-us-millionaires","tag-wealth-report
["GET
