US financial research company MSCI and Swiss banking giant UBS have forged a strategic partnership focused on improving transparency in private markets. <\/p>\n
The collaboration will bring together MSCI’s data, analytics and modelling capabilities with UBS’s alternatives expertise and its insights from clients worldwide. <\/p>\n
Under the agreement, the two firms plan to further develop MSCI’s AI-powered private markets platform, which is intended to tackle persistent issues in the sector including fragmented data and limited transparency. <\/p>\n
Drawing on UBS’s perspectives across limited partners, wealth management and asset management, the partnership is intended to support a more connected and standardised experience throughout the private markets investment lifecycle. <\/p>\n
UBS will act as an early user of the platform. It will also work with MSCI in support of wider adoption and greater standardisation across private markets. <\/p>\n
The platform combines fund discovery, portfolio management, analytics and benchmarking tools within a single system. <\/p>\n
It is designed to simplify data management and improve transparency between private and public markets, MSCI said in a statement. <\/p>\n
Automated data processing, alongside MSCI’s independent performance data, is also expected to provide investors with more timely and consistent portfolio insights. <\/p>\n
The partnership is also intended to support a private markets network linking general partners with institutional investors and private wealth clients. <\/p>\n
