The expanded partnership will see TCS deliver end-to-end network operations under a Network-as-a-Service model.<\/p>\n

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a multi-million, multi-year agreement with ABB to transform the industrial technology company’s global network operations, expanding its role from managing infrastructure and applications to delivering end-to-end network services.<\/p>\n

The engagement marks the next phase of the companies’ 20-year partnership and will see TCS deliver network operations through an integrated Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) model.<\/p>\n

As part of the engagement, TCS will support ABB’s Future Network Model programme, an enterprise-wide initiative to standardise and centrally manage the company’s global network infrastructure.<\/p>\n

TCS will design, integrate and operate ABB’s global network ecosystem, while orchestrating the company’s multi-vendor network environment to deliver standardised operations across global locations.<\/p>\n

The company said the programme aims to improve user experience, increase operational efficiency, strengthen security and compliance, and support next-generation digital operations.<\/p>\n

The transformation will replace fragmented network environments with a secure, scalable and service-driven architecture.<\/p>\n

The new operating model will combine service integration and management (SIAM), a global network operations centre, advanced security capabilities, and modernised local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) infrastructure.<\/p>\n

TCS will also provide end-to-end monitoring and orchestration to improve network visibility and deliver high-performance connectivity across ABB’s global operations.<\/p>\n

ABB group CIO Alec Joannou said the Future Network Model programme will strengthen the digital foundation supporting the company’s global operations.<\/p>\n

“As our business evolves, it is critical to have an ecosystem that is resilient, secure, and aligned with long-term transformation goals. Our association with TCS reflects a shared focus on delivery excellence, continuous enhancement, and building capabilities that can support our strategic priorities,” he said.<\/p>\n

TCS president, manufacturing, Anupam Singhal, said the engagement builds on over two decades of collaboration between the two companies.<\/p>\n

“With AI embedded into the network operations model, supported by secure digital infrastructure and our deep domain expertise, we are bringing our infrastructure to intelligence approach to build a resilient, intelligent network backbone,” Singhal said.<\/p>\n

According to TCS, AI will enable network systems to continuously monitor, adapt and improve operations while strengthening reliability, security, user experience and scalability.<\/p>\n

The latest engagement expands a long-standing relationship between the two companies. Over the past two decades, TCS has supported ABB across several technology transformation initiatives, including consolidating multiple ERP systems onto a unified SAP platform and accelerating the company’s cloud transformation programmes.<\/p>\n
