Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)<\/a> has announced an expanded multi-million, multi-year agreement with technology company ABB <\/a>to transform the company\u2019s global network operations through an AI-driven digital infrastructure, marking the next phase of a partnership spanning 20 years.<\/p>\n According to TCS, the agreement will see the company expand its role from managing infrastructure and applications to delivering end-to-end global network operations through a network-as-a-service model. The initiative is intended to support improvements in user experience, operational efficiency, security, compliance, service delivery and digital operations.<\/p>\n The collaboration centres on ABB\u2019s Future Network Model programme, an enterprise-wide initiative aimed at creating a standardised, centrally managed digital infrastructure. TCS said it will design, integrate and operate ABB\u2019s global network ecosystem while managing the company\u2019s multi-vendor environment to support standardised operations across its global footprint.<\/p>\n The programme is expected to replace fragmented network environments with a secure, scalable architecture incorporating service integration and management (SIAM), a global network operations centre, enhanced security capabilities, and modernised local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) and software-defined WAN systems. TCS said it will also provide end-to-end monitoring and orchestration to support network performance.<\/p>\n ABB Group CIO Alec Joannou said the programme is designed to strengthen the company\u2019s digital capabilities as its business evolves.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Future Network Model represents an important milestone in reinforcing the digital foundation of ABB\u2019s global operations,\u201d Joannou said.<\/p>\n \u201cAs our business evolves, it is critical to have an ecosystem that is resilient, secure, and aligned with long-term transformation goals. Our association with TCS reflects a shared focus on delivery excellence, continuous enhancement, and building capabilities that can support our strategic priorities.\u201d<\/p>\n TCS President of Manufacturing Anupam Singhal said the latest agreement builds on two decades of collaboration between the companies.<\/p>\n \u201cFor over two decades, TCS has had the privilege of supporting ABB\u2019s transformation journey, and the Future Network Model marks the next chapter in this partnership,\u201d Singhal said.<\/p>\n \u201cWith AI embedded into the network operations model, supported by secure digital infrastructure and our deep domain expertise, we are bringing our \u2018infrastructure to intelligence\u2019 approach to build a resilient, intelligent network backbone.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that the engagement is intended to enable network systems that \u201ccan sense, adapt, and improve continuously\u201d while strengthening reliability, security, user experience and scalability.<\/p>\n TCS said the companies have previously worked together on several technology transformation programmes, including consolidating multiple enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems into a unified SAP platform and accelerating ABB\u2019s cloud transformation and adoption.
