{"id":103791,"date":"2026-07-15T19:09:37","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T19:09:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/103791\/"},"modified":"2026-07-15T19:09:37","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T19:09:37","slug":"vitol-irh-finalize-20-year-lng-supply-deal-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/103791\/","title":{"rendered":"Vitol, IRH finalize 20-year LNG supply deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vitol announced on Thursday the signing of the SPA with IRH Global Trading, a subsidiary of IRH, following the <a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/americas\/irh-inks-lng-deal-with-delfin-and-vitol\/167901\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">signing of the heads of agreement<\/a> in November 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the agreement, Vitol will supply 1 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG on a free on-board (FOB) to IRH for a period of 20 years, \u201creinforcing IRH\u2019s long-term commitment to securing reliable and diversified energy supply to meet growing global demand,\u201d Vitol said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vitol did not mention Delfin in the statement or provide further details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the HoA in November 2025, Delfin Midstream\u2019s Delfin LNG will supply LNG on FOB basis to Vitol, which will act as the offtaker and deliver the volumes to IRH\u2019s global trading arm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A unit of US FLNG developer Delfin Midstream recently <a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/americas\/delfin-inks-spa-with-centrica-for-second-flng\/190141\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">signed<\/a> a sales and purchase agreement with UK-based energy firm Centrica to supply LNG from the second floating LNG unit as part of its project offshore Louisiana.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the first long-term agreement to purchase LNG from Delfin\u2019s planned second project (FLNG 2).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On June 3, Delfin\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lngprime.com\/americas\/delfin-takes-fid-on-first-flng\/188456\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">took a final investment decision<\/a>\u00a0for the first 4.4 mtpa floating LNG unit of its LNG project under development in Louisiana.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delfin says the FLNG is the first floating liquefaction facility in the United States and the world\u2019s largest FLNG.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company said its first FLNG 1 is backed by long-term LNG sales agreements with \u201cleading\u201d global energy companies, including Vitol, Expand Energy, Centrica, and Gunvor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Vitol announced on Thursday the signing of the SPA with IRH Global Trading, a subsidiary of IRH, following&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":103792,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":"","_share_on_mastodon":"0"},"categories":[125],"tags":[16523,46178,3137,158],"class_list":["post-103791","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-vitol","tag-delfin-lng","tag-delfin-midstream","tag-irh","tag-vitol"],"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@ch\/116925573611816946","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/103791","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=103791"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/103791\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/103792"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=103791"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=103791"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=103791"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
