{"id":1049,"date":"2026-02-11T17:48:41","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T17:48:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/1049\/"},"modified":"2026-02-11T17:48:41","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T17:48:41","slug":"vitol-nears-deal-to-sell-iraqi-kurdistan-oil-exports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/1049\/","title":{"rendered":"Vitol Nears Deal to Sell Iraqi Kurdistan Oil Exports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"speakable\">The world\u2019s largest independent oil trader, Vitol Group, is in discussions with Iraq to sell crude from Kurdistan when the pipeline flows from the semi-autonomous northern Iraqi region to Turkey resume, sources with knowledge of the talks told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-09-26\/vitol-in-talks-for-iraq-crude-oil-sales-once-kurdish-pipeline-exports-restart\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bloomberg<\/a> on Friday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Exports from Kurdistan to the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean will resume on Saturday, September 27, following agreements reached between Iraq\u2019s federal government, the Kurdistan Regional Government, and a group of international oil companies, Norway-based oil producer DNO ASA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dno.no\/en\/investors\/announcements\/dno-updates-status-of-tawke-license-oil-exports-2025-09-26\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a> on Friday.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mohamedshia\/status\/1971230780492791966\" rel=\"nofollow\">said<\/a> that \u201ca historic agreement\u201d has been reached, under which the Federal Ministry of Oil will receive crude oil produced from the fields in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and export it through the Iraq\u2013T\u00fcrkiye pipeline.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis ensures fair distribution of wealth, diversification of export outlets, and encouragement of investment.
