July 23, 2026 (MLN): Nestle Pakistan Limited (PSX:
\nNESTLE) will be part of a proposed global transaction under which its majority
\nshareholder, Nestl\u00e9 S.A., and Platinum Equity will establish Peranel, a 50\/50
\njoint venture for Nestl\u00e9’s waters and premium beverages business.<\/p>\n
The proposed transaction, which remains subject to employee
\nconsultation processes and applicable regulatory approvals, is expected to
\nclose in the first half of 2027.<\/p>\n
Peranel will combine Nestl\u00e9’s waters and premium beverages
\nbusiness, spanning more than 30 brands sold across 120 countries.<\/p>\n
The portfolio includes natural mineral water brands such as
\nS.Pellegrino, Source Perrier and Acqua Panna, alongside premium and functional
\nhydration beverages, the global Nestl\u00e9 Pure Life brand, and several leading
\nlocal water brands.<\/p>\n
The new company is expected to be headquartered in Paris and
\nled by Muriel Lienau, the current Chief Executive Officer of Nestl\u00e9’s waters
\nand premium beverages business.<\/p>\n
Nestl\u00e9’s water operations in Pakistan are included in the
\nglobal business covered by the proposed transaction.<\/p>\n
In Pakistan, however, the implementation of the transaction
\nremains subject to, among other things, the execution of definitive agreements
\nand finalization, including the necessary corporate and regulatory approvals.<\/p>\n
At this stage, Nestl\u00e9 Pakistan intends only to incorporate a
\nlocal entity. Further disclosures will be made if any material developments
