HOPEWELL, N.Y. \u2014 On Saturday, Ontario County Sheriff\u2019s deputies got reports of a two-car crash around 8:10 a.m., responding to the intersection of County Road 4 and Freshour Road. One of the two victims was taken to a hospital by Mercy Flight, according to deputies.<\/p>\n
The sheriff\u2019s office said a 43-year-old Naples man was driving north on Freshour Road when he didn\u2019t stop at a stop sign, leading to a crash with another car, driven by a 30-year-old Geneva man who was driving east on County Road 4.<\/p>\n
Both cars went off the road because of the crash, ending up in a yard near the intersection, according to OCSO. The Geneva man\u2019s car rolled over but ended upright, and he was taken to a hospital for minor injuries and released, OCSO added.<\/p>\n
The man from Naples was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight and is now listed as being in stable condition, according to deputies.<\/p>\n
The roadway was shut down for over three hours due to the investigation, but has since reopened, and deputies add that both cars had significant damage and were later towed.<\/p>\n
Mercy Ambulance and the Hopewell Fire Department were also on the scene. The crash is still under investigation.<\/p>\n
