{"id":109569,"date":"2026-07-29T15:50:09","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T15:50:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/109569\/"},"modified":"2026-07-29T15:50:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T15:50:09","slug":"swiss-re-and-sas-partner-to-strengthen-insurers-resilience-through-ai-driven-risk-intelligence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/109569\/","title":{"rendered":"Swiss Re and SAS partner to strengthen insurers resilience through AI-driven risk intelligence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Global reinsurer Swiss Re and SAS, a global leader in data and AI, have entered into a partnership designed to help insurers strengthen resilience through AI-driven risk intelligence and advanced actuarial decisioning.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-204009\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/swissre-sas-image.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"225\"  \/>The partnership between the two firms reportedly reflects a \u201cbroader industry shift\u201d toward insurance operations that combine AI and advanced analytics, catastrophe intelligence and human expertise to support decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>As a member of the SAS Strategic Technology Partner Program, Swiss Re will now combine its CatNet natural catastrophe risk intelligence with SAS Insurance Life Cycle Accelerator, enabling insurers to incorporate predictive hazard insights directly into underwriting, pricing and portfolio management workflows.<\/p>\n<p>As per SAS, the offering will provide insurers with powerful data integration, automated and advanced decision-making, portfolio risk steering, proven operational efficiencies, bottom-line and volume growth, and robust governance and auditability.<\/p>\n<p>According to the firm, these combined capabilities are designed to improve operational efficiency while strengthening profitability and resilience in the face of rising catastrophe exposure.<\/p>\n<p>Stu Bradley, Senior VP for Risk, Fraud and Compliance Solutions at SAS, commented, \u201cInsurers cannot rely solely on historical loss data to understand risk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe combination of SAS\u2019 AI and actuarial modelling capabilities with Swiss Re\u2019s catastrophe intelligence will enable insurers to make faster, more transparent and more resilient underwriting and pricing decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ali Shahkarami, Head Risk Data Solutions Insurance at Swiss Re, said, \u201cSecondary perils are not secondary in terms of their financial impact.
