The second Tour Card Holder Qualifier of the day saw the action
\nfocused on the Swiss Darts Trophy<\/a> set to take place from October 9-11. Beau
\nGreaves, Michael Smith and Peter Wright were looking to confirm their places on
\nthe European Tour<\/a> event.10 spots were available for the Tour Card holders present
\nwith a couple of former world champions showing their worth. Michael Smith was one of them in a dramatic ending where he managed to squeeze past Cor Dekker 6-5 in a thrilling finale. It will be the first time he appears on the European Tour<\/a> since the Austrian Darts Open back in May.Today was a very successful day for Raymond van Barneveld
\nwho made it consecutive European Tour events he will attend after qualifying
\nfor the Flanders Darts Trophy<\/a> earlier today. He backed it up with a 6-5 win
\nover David Sharp to book his spot in Basel.<\/p>\n

Cristo Reyes, Jeffrey de Graaf and Bradley Brooks were also
\nable to go the whole day unbeaten. \u2018The Spartan\u2019 had no trouble in thrashing Robert
\nOwen 6-0 in the final match with de Graaf and Brooks having a tougher time of
\nit. Karel Sedlacek failed to join this exclusive group after a defeat at the
\nfinal stage against Mensur Suljovic.<\/p>\n

The other names to qualify include Sietse Lap, Tom Bissell,
\nMario Vandenbogaerde and Maik Kuivenhoven.<\/p>\n

Greaves cannot continue brilliant form as Wright fall short again<\/p>\n

Greaves was not able to keep her winning
\nstreak up. Three European Tour\u2019s in a row she had successfully made it into,
\nbut her journey to Basel ended at the first hurdle in the last 160 against Owen
\nBates.<\/p>\n

Mike De Decker had not competed earlier for a place in his
\nhome event and would only play one match in total after losing 6-3 to Brooks.
\nFellow Belgian Kim Huybrechts also would lose at the last 80.<\/p>\n

It will be another Euro Tour event without Peter Wright. The
\ntwo-time world champion\u2019s struggles continued with Rhys Griffin pipping him in
\na last-leg decider.<\/p>\n

Luke Humphries is set to headline the field in Switzerland.
\nHe takes the number one seeding with Luke Littler not featuring. Reigning champion

\nJames Wade, Michael van Gerwen, Josh Rock, Gerwyn Price, Gary Anderson and
\nNathan Aspinall all set to make the trip with glory on their minds.<\/p>\n
