{"id":110955,"date":"2026-08-02T18:21:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-02T18:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/110955\/"},"modified":"2026-08-02T18:21:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-02T18:21:10","slug":"lorena-wiebes-sprints-to-second-straight-win-at-womens-tour-de-france-wral-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ch\/110955\/","title":{"rendered":"Lorena Wiebes sprints to second straight win at Women&#8217;s Tour de France :: WRAL.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GENEVA (AP) \u2014 Lorena Wiebes again sprinted to victory in the second stage of the Women\u2019s Tour de France on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The Dutch rider won the flat 147.9-kilometer (91.9-mile) stage from Aigle to Geneva, the second on Swiss territory, in 3 hours, 42 minutes, 8 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Wiebes went ahead with some 250 meters to go and claimed her seventh overall victory at the tour.<\/p>\n<p>Wiebes also won the opening stage on Saturday in the same dominant fashion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s special to win in the yellow jersey, but also because again, my team SD Worx-Protime, worked really hard for this,&#8221; Wiebes said. \u201cThe girls were chasing full gas in the final to bring back Riejanne Markus.
